A brief blog post as a shout out, rather than a review today…
I am delighted that my poem Substitute Love about the death of my dog Harper and my experience in the following months, has been long listed for the 2026 Grieve Project and will be published in an anthology due out in August. Works were selected from mediums across poetry, prose, music, film, photography and sculpture. Congratulations to all the creatives who contributed works.
They say grief is love with no place to go…Grieve Volume 13 can be ordered from the Hunter Writers Centre.

congratulations R! So thrilled for you and deeply touched that you and Harper’s connection can be shared, honoured and acknowledged in this beautiful and meaningful way. ❤️🩹🌈
P.s. I tried to leave this as a comment on the blog but I kept getting an error message. Maybe it didn’t like my emojis?
