the biggest moon in three score years and ten
rose out of the sea balanced on the nose of a dolphin
her sister the sun escaped to the west
a burning pyre with two winged horses
dragging a blanket of night across the sky
listen to the sweet sound of pan pipes
as a sea as calm as glass tempts madness to walk upon it
to breathe water, and air
a dolphin rose up with a perigee
a flick, and a whistle, and the celestial ball spun
landing on the spout of a passing whale
which carried it far out to sea
where the ocean and the sky become one
a shudder of the earth, an outpouring of breathe
and the orb of the night was restored to orbit
suspended above the horizon
back to her one true love, the earth
